Violin - Extra Work auditions — BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra

The BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra is currently considering applications for extra work from violinists based in Scotland’s Central Belt. We are unable to consider candidates who are not already eligible to work in the UK. Student visas are not eligible due to restrictions (please check gov.uk for details). If you would like to be considered, please submit the following: · Audition video (see audition pack for further details) · CV The panel will only hear the video audio to keep the process anonymous. Successful candidates will gain a place on our extra work list and will be contacted as and when extra work opportunities arise. Please note that it is our policy to book players local to Glasgow in the first instance. If you have experience of playing in professional orchestras and play to an exceptional standard, please apply via Musical Chairs by Monday 20th April 2026.
