Czech Philharmonic and its Chief Conductor and Music Director Semyon Bychkov announce an AUDITION for the ORCHESTRAL ACADEMY for the period of 1st August 2026 – 31st July 2028 / or as agreed/ Section: VIOLIN ________________________________________ Audition date and place: 29th May 2026, Rudolfinum, Prague Please submit the completed application form on the Czech Philharmonic website, including your CV and a copy of your diploma or confirmation of your ongoing study. Application deadline: 26th April, 2026 AUDITION REPERTOIRE: SOLO PIECE: First movement of a 19th or 20th century violin concerto (cadenza optional), or a major work for violin and orchestra from the same time period ORCHESTRAL EXCERPTS: R. Strauss: Don Juan A. Dvořák: Carnival, overture B. Smetana: Šárka B. Smetana: Vyšehrad L. van Beethoven: Symphony No. 9 The orchestral excerpts can be downloaded from the website. Students between the ages of 18 and 26 (decisive is the age on the day of the audition) may apply to the Orchestral Academy.
