We are now looking for double bass, principal, 75% permanent position with trial period. The audition will take place following personal invitation on May 29th 2026 at Västerås Concert Hall / Västerås Konserthus, Lilla salen. Orchestra tuning, A=442. Compulsory works: • Dittersdorf: Concerto no 2, 1st movement with the Gruber cadenza, and 2nd movement without cadenza. • Bottesini: Concerto no 2, 1st movement with cadenza. • orchestral excerpts • ensemble round Please note: A new Swedish law requires either a Swedish work permit or citizenship of a country within the European Union for eligibility for employment in Sweden. We are therefore unable to accept applicants from outside of the European Union since the part-time salary we offer does not qualify applicants for a work permit.
